A modern infrastructure, a countrywide optical network backbone and one of the most innovative European data centers is what constitute the technological foundation of GTS Energis business.
The GTS Energis network is designed as a ring structure, which means that all key network points are linked by at least two ways. Thus, service continuity is assured even in case of optical fiber failure. Currently, the GTS Energis network backbone connects 90 cities and includes over 350 nodes.
Taking into account the customer satisfaction and addressing the permanently growing requirements, GTS Energis connected with optical fibers the largest Polish cities.
The GTS Energis network crosses the western and southern state border and links to the European-wide network. Broad cooperation with domestic and international carriers, a multi-layer data transfer network, built and managed entirely by GTS Energis, as well as reliable point-to-point digital radio access systems allow us to provide a large scope of services: Ping i Traceroute.
Ping
PING is a network transfer testing and measuring tool. It sends test packets to an indicated address and displays one line of information for each returning packet. Ping provides information on each response time in milliseconds and a brief summary including the shortest, the average and the longest response time within the whole test. Remember that some gateways can filter the packets used by Ping in order to prevent from detecting the “network visibility” of individual routers or servers. If you don’t get any response, try to use the traceroute tool to check where the problem occurs.
Traceroute
Traceroute allows to check the route of your packets. You can trace the route of packets from the GTS Internet Data Center to any PC within the Internet. Remember that some gateways filter the traffic of such packets in order to hide the structure of individual networks.
If asterisks (* * *) appear in the result, try the ping option to check if the specific server/router responds to test packets.
