Energis has built one of the largest Data Centers in Europe, located in Piaseczno, near Warsaw . It is a fortress stuffed with modern electronics where the hardware benefits not only from a guarantee of high-quality GTS Energis network access but also from an extraordinary security level. Wherever physically possible, all key elements are redundant to eliminate single points of failure for GTS Energis solutions. The entire area is maintained in constant temperature. The air conditioning system is designed to prevent temperature from rising even if two air conditioning units from the same room fail. The air is pumped in through the floor and it goes out through the holes of the ceiling after cooling the devices.
Power supply and links
A special power supply system assures the operation continuity on all devices. It is based on two independent terminations of the power grid, equipped with separate UPS systems. Additionally, the GTS Energis Data Center has internal combustion electrical generators, each able to support its operation during 72 hours without refueling. When needed, an external generator can be easily connected. The power of each rack and each server is supplied through two ways.
Fire protection
The Data Center is equipped with a modern fire protection system. Early detection systems permanently monitor all the premises and each event is reported to the employee on duty. The extinguishing action is triggered manually or automatically, when there is no reaction from the employee. An ecological and human-friendly gas, Inergen, is used for extinguishing purposes. In case of fire, the electronically controlled valves inject a precisely calculated quantity of gas into the room where the fire has been detected.
Security
The access to every room requires authorization (magnetic cards) and is fully monitored. Such quantity of electronic, mechanical and access security measures guarantees the best possible conditions for Web servers.
